The Peter Gill Band, which is available from a four piece to a seven piece band, are a highly professional swing band perfect for corporate functions, weddings and birthdays where only the best in live music is required. In any line-up, The Peter Gill Band performs the standards that were made famous by Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Billie Holliday, Sarah Vaughan et al, written by those supreme composers and lyricists such as Cole Porter, George and Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart.

They can also perform as a wedding/fucntion band: When he was asked to create his wedding dance band for the benefit of exclusive clients for an event at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London, Peter pulled together not only some of the finest professional musicians in the country, but also a group of personal friends. Since that occasion he is regularly requested to engage the band and as a consequence it has performed the length and breadth of the country for weddings, private parties and corporate events.Their repertoire is ever-changing, but its nucleus always remains the same, familiar, party songs from the 1950s to the present day. They choose songs that they love to play and which people love to dance to - songs recorded by Elvis, The Beatles, The Monkees, The Rolling Stones, The Commitments, The Blues Brothers, Van Morrison, Chuck Berry et al. And if there is a special song that you would like them to play, they can normally oblige.

Also performing as a smaller jazz trio, The Peter Gill Trio, this consists of himself on piano and vocals with guitar and saxophone, but it can also feature drums or bass. He has even been booked with just a saxophonist or a guitarist and is equally at home as a solo pianist, creating a soft background atmosphere ideal for wedding receptions, dining or cocktails. So don't be put off if you really have a minimal amount of space.
